Backing off
The problem with writing out goals and finding time to meet them is discovering your priorities. Some things you enjoy doing, yet interfere with those goals, have to be set aside.

Much of my participation on writing.com is one of those things. I don't plan on leaving for any length of time, but I have gone through and eliminated myself from a few groups, others I'm considering. My presence in Blogville is another. I'll still write in my blog, most likely daily, because it has become such a habit.

What will suffer, and I do feel bad about this, is my reading yours. I hate saying that, because blogging is such a give and take. It just seems unfair and selfish of me to want you to read and comment in my blog if I don't return the favor.

I won't quit your blogs completely. It'll be more along the lines of once or twice a week. I just can't afford spending the two-three hours a day reading and commenting. My other writings have suffered for too long, and right now, those have to be at the top of my list. I have no other way of meeting my goals otherwise, because I do have family and work to take care of as well.
