Gumming it, just fine
My dental surgery is four days history now, and I'm doing well. I just can't chew anything for 6 more weeks or so. I manage to have lots of flavorful food in my fridge, and most of it is in a semi soft state. If I can fill my need for taste--like spices in the mashed potatoes, and all sorts of very sweet puddings--I don't get too hungry.

I try to have a double portion of mashed potato flakes to fill up the tummy every day. One can drink a lot of liquids, and still not be feeling very full. How much Jello does it take to fill up to your toes? I'm not there yet, but I'm sure I will be before I get to chew again. But, like I said, the bone grafts are doing fine.

The most exciting thing I've created is a make-believe baked potato. If you fluff up your potatoes, and place a nice dollup of cottage cheese in the middle, add your favorite spices--in my case, every concentration of onion possible--and with a generous application of imagination one can fill up his or her tummy in imaginative style!
