*Balloon2*           SUMMER: 7 Kalimat (19 July)          *Balloon2*

*Snow1* *Snow2* *Snow3* Think cool *Cool*!

Weather where I am: 105º.
Weather in Bethel, Alaska: 60º.
Weather in Mexico City: 73º.

Well I've been checking blogs again: daybreak, Robert Waltz Author Icon, Pia Veleno Author Icon, Problematic Content Author Icon, Midnight Dawn Author Icon, Raine Author Icon, Moody Blue: Needs an Upgrade Author Icon, elusive ennui warm inside Author Icon, Piglet Author Icon, Wendopolis Author Icon,

Now, y'all can go to "Invalid EntryOpen in new Window. and wish Happy 21st Wedding Anniversary to Raine Author Icon!

Now go there ... Come on, it's okay to leave a nice masseage in someone else's blog *Smile*. I know you want to ... then come back here!

Later, you can join in the debate over religion and hippies at Problematic Content Author Icon:

"Invalid EntryOpen in new Window. re religious zealots and fanatics ... (30+ comments already)
"Invalid EntryOpen in new Window. re hippies ... (I'm of that generation ... but wasn't really one of them)

And I really loved this lyrical dreamy entry by daybreak: "Invalid EntryOpen in new Window. Anyone who writes dreams, shortstories, dialogues should enjoy it. It has magnificent flow. I believe it deserves an item for itself ... but what would one call it?

Three pieces, short sketches, fragments, thoughts, whatever:

My last words

And I will never say
"I loved you well",
O Lover-who-still-loves-me-now;
the past tense doesn't suit me. [163.259a]

Vernal puddles

Yes, there are places in Kansas
where water stands, teardrops
from the rains of March or May,
by August all mere myth and memory,
a whisper from a Spring-born day. [163.259b]

There was a church there

Going to Stull, I say hello to corn.
Leaving Stull, I wave goodbye to corn.
And where is the church in Stull?
Somewhere between the comings and goings of corn. [163.259c]

Now, someone can comment on the beautiful sig at the top of my blog, gifted me by SilverValkyre loves YOU! Author Icon! Thank-you in advance. I like it.

IMAGES

From gardening on July 16th:

- soft velveteen of locust pods
- the mulberry that does not yield, the elm that does
- soft spines of an unknown vine
- damp soil and dew on grass
- a neighbor asking if I knew about roofs (Not!)
- the smell of childhoood while deadheading a marigold
- two struggling clematis vines; the rampant virginia creeper
- quince fruit and a limb that will not break
- bright blue morning glories
- the smell of garlic when crushed

The number of unique WDC members reading a blog must only refer to the last month. The other day I was up to 91; today it is down to 87? It sure ain't from a lack of trying on my part! Oh well, I am thankful that I'm being read. *Smile*

Oh ... and today was brought to you by the color green.
