Closed for business, but be sure to check out my new place! |
Good morning all! Sheesh, I’m just a little too perky for a Friday morning. Should I be concerned, or take advantage of it . . . ? I’ll take advantage of it! All your comments yesterday (Thank you, by the way ![]() That in turn reminded me of a time I wish I had a camera. I saw a woman at a street corner holding a cardboard sign proclaiming her desire to work for food. Directly behind her sat a fast food store sign, and on the marquee underneath that it proclaimed, “NOW HIRING!” That would have made for a fine photo showing perfectly just how desperate these people are NOT, don’t you think? I then remembered other times I wish I had a camera. Last December I saw during a bright, orange and pink sunset on the opposite side of the sun a shimmering pink rainbow (even wrote about it in my blog, I was so awed by it). I had never before seen a rainbow in December, let alone a pink one. I don’t expect to see one again, and no camera to record its unusual beauty. The third incident happened just this Monday. As I played with Rufus in the yard, four military jets flew not more than 2000 feet above and just slightly west of me in formation. Two minutes later, three of the jets in the Missing-Man Formation flew directly above me, again, not very high above the ground. I could even see the weaponry underneath their wings. Then, high above and behind the three jets, the fourth, “missing man” followed along as they returned to base. An astonishing and touching sight with it being Memorial Day, but again, no camera. Question for you. What were your best, or worst, moments when you wished you had a camera? |
