1. Let it go... Don't worry; Be Happy

Corny, I know!

But basically, turn whatever is bothering you over to God, your Higher Power, or whatever you believe in...

One thing I often say is, "There is more room on the outside than on the inside." I generally try not to keep my feelings and thoughts to myself. Blogging helps, but so will a diary, if you don't want to publicly blog, or have no one you feel you can talk with about how your feeling.

Let go. Do the best you can everyday. If the best you can do is nothing - then accept it. Er... tomorrow is another day.

Doheny Wrote:
Feeling overwhelmed by stress

2. Fix yourself a nice cup or tea or lemonade.

Take a few moments everyday to be nice to yourself. I don't drink, but I do use vodka to make my own perfumes. It's a crafty thing, and I de-stress by writing, and when writing doesn't work - I craft.

Doheny Wrote:
Drinking too much alcohol -- or drinking too little

3. Walk... even if it's walking around Wal-Mart, the Mall, or your favorite grocery story - think of it as multi-tasking. *Smile*

Doheny Wrote:
Moving too little

4. Have a snack - a piece of fresh fruit, or a bowl of fresh berries. Even if you're a high powered executive, surely there is room for an apple or banana in your brief case or purse.

Doheny Wrote:
Eating too much saturated fat

5. If you smoke (and I do), don't let the zealous non-smoking advocates worry you. See #1.

Doheny Wrote:
Smoking cigarettes

6. Please feel free to laugh with me about Doheny advice for number six*Exclaim* She's joking, right? I suggest you plant a small container with pleasant fragrant flowers or herbs. See #1. It doesn't pay to worry about stuff you have absolutely no control over... really! And somebody tell Doheny indoor air can be just as polluted as out door air. Doheny advice here absolutely destroyed her credibility.

Breathing polluted air

7. Too much of anything is not necessarily better, but our body's need sunlight. I know I feel much better when I get some sun, especially after being cooped up. Personally, I'm beginning to think this Kathleen Doheny women is an idiot.

Getting too much sun

8. A good night's sleep is good, so are power naps. Doheny advice on this one is too generic. Advice for New Mothers - sleep when the baby sleeps. For the rest of us - do the best you can. You'll sleep better if you just relax. Reread advice given in item 1.

Getting too little sleep

9. Oh, it's just so easy to say "being overweight will age you", isn't it? Some of it is genetic; a lot of it is environmental. Again, do the best you can. The stress created by the pressure of being reminded you're overweight - can possibly kill you. Learn to like yourself. Take care of yourself. Relax. Stress will make you fat - I know!

Being overweight

10. Enjoy the chocolate - ladies, we all know chocolate has it benefits. Life is too short - relax and enjoy yourselves.

Doheny Wrote:
Eating too much sugar

Gez, after reading Kathleen Doheny advice on MSN Lifestyles - I'm feeling so depressed. Who at iVillage gave this woman a national platform from which she is allowed to spew such garbage.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

I saw on the news the other night where men and women in Iran are getting nose jobs. In Iran, they say, it’s a status symbol. Evidently Iranians have big noses. So amid all the nuclear concerns... major news media outlets want us to be able to immediately spot the affluent Iranians - you know... the affluent Iranians that can afford cosmetic surgery. OH PLEASE...
