LET ME BE A CHILD AGAIN
LET ME BE A CHILD AGAIN

Let me be a child again,
Free from the worldly woes.
Let the world be shorn of thorns,
And, simply, be a rose.

Rosy earth and rainbow sky,
Chasing the butterflies,
Fairies playing with me when
I lie down with closed eyes.

Let me be a child again,
With a heart made of gold;
No greediness, no cunning,
No intentions too bold;

Loving all, my mom and dad,
My puppy and my cat;
Playing with the other kids,
The game of ball and bat.

Let me be a child again,
Forever full of joy,
Whose heart is always at peace,
Free of cunning and ploy.
