A little something about nothing

Volunteering

I was just sent an email reminding me of a volunteer event I signed up for. I remember signing up, but forgot when the event was. I will be volunteering at the Special Olympics with my mom...I am so excited!!

I don't know all the details just yet, but it is in less than 2 weeks. There are 4 spots we get to choose from, which are: Greeter, Cheering, Line Hugger, or hand out awards. I am hoping to be a hugger or a cheer person.

Everyone has those things they love to do, volunteering is mine. I've been able to do so many things that I would normally would just be able to watch or might never even hear about. Granted not everything I've done has been a blast...like sticking my hands in ice to serve cold pop, but overall it was fun. Some are even educational...I've volunteered twice for Habitat for Humanity and now know how to hang dry wall and insulate my home...well, when I get a home that is! I will be volunteering for that again this summer...may learn how to build the house, who knows!
