Rejected *sigh*
Finally Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine gave me its answer - Nope, not interested. Just a form letter informing me that the story does not meet their needs. How does one know what was wrong, if anything?
I know rejection is a part of the price we pay as we try to be published, but I wish it included a lesson to help us improve. Just a sentence or two of explanation would help.
That publisher gave me two suggestions during our intereview that will make a big difference in my children's stories, very brief suggestions.
So, I'm just left in limbo, except that I know "Deserted Hideway" will not be published in that magazine.
