WHEN WAR COMES

WHEN WAR COMES

[When war comes, it bodes ill for all.]



When war comes, it comes to take
The sons from the mothers
Of both, who send their bombers,
And the bombed ones, ‘others’.

It’s not a one sided game,
Though it may seem to some.
The pendulum does swing back,
Surely in times to come.

Some are too keen to look for
Dirt in another’s eye,
Oblivious of the beam
That others in them spy.

In short-sightedness does lie
The real cause of war,
In which His sons, in His name,
With one another spar!
