MEETING IN HEAVEN: a sonnet
MEETING IN HEAVEN: a sonnet
[A hope that one may meet the departed one in heaven.]
Though now you are gone never to return,
You continue to live yet in my thoughts.
The flame of life only for you does burn.
On my heart’s door your memory still knocks.
I do live but only half a life now.
In body and mind I am incomplete.
Without you I just don’t exist somehow.
With loneliness my world is now replete.
A day will come when I will be no more;
I hope that day is not delayed too long.
I’m already in the yonder world your;
To this world I no longer do belong.
One day, my love, again we shall be one.
If He wishes, we shall meet in heaven.
