A MAD, MAD WORLD

[The world is full of crazy contradictions]



It’s truly a mad, mad world,
Where saneness is decried.
Call to logic and reason
Is often here belied.

The rich robbing the poor are
Labelled as worldly wise,
But the poor, who are honest,
Everyone does despise.

Some are maddening to fight;
At least to me it seems.
For this the WMD
Are made up in the dreams.

Atom bombs are madly dropped
On people far away,
Killing millions instantly,
And cancer till this day.

Some are mad about Allah,
Others about Jesus.
The former blow twin towers,
The latter with bombs rush.

One fifth are poor in the rich
US as per the word.
Poor Indians madly fourth
Happiest in the world!

People run like mad to get
Rich by hook or by crook,
But they find missing the word,
“Happiness” in their book.
