Giving Up

Last night I was able to talk to my brother who just got back from up north where he was with my parents and uncle. He gave me an update on my grandpa. Apparently he is giving up. Over the weekend he took his keys to everything he owns, gave them to my uncle and said he gives up...meaning, he is ready to die.

Since his surgery he keeps losing weight, but the doctors can't find out why. I heard from my aunt who took him for a blood test on Tuesday. They have ruled out leukima (sp); however, they feel their is something wrong with his bone morrow so they are testing it today. They also want to run a CAT scan. My aunt said he is just skin on bone. It is so sad. He will be 85 in November, but at this rate I fear he won't make it, especially if his mind set is to give up.
