A HUNDRED THINGS I DON'T KNOW—an acrostic
A HUNDRED THINGS I DON'T KNOW—an acrostic

[Know all you can. But, one cannot know all. Even ignorance can be bliss.]

A hundred things I don't know yet;
However I know this:
Under its shadow, ignorance
Nurtures a solemn bliss.

Devoid one may be of knowledge
Required for great research.
Enquiring spirit yet if one has,
Denied can’t be one’s worth.

Though one may find it difficult
Honing scientific skill,
In language or music one may
No doubt be perfect still.

Glory be to the brain of man,
Surprises it many.
Inside a box six inches wide,
Do lie things uncanny.

O man, God’s fondest creation,
Never do betray Him.
To show devotion you must fill
Knowledge cup up to brim.

No man can but be the master
Of knowledge various.
Why be too curious?
