Why did I get out today
If subway was going to fail
I simply to myself say.

Why did I get out today
Now to God I do this pray
That I may no longer quail.

This trip was already late
I could have delayed it more
Why should now I blame my fate.

For some days more it could wait
Without harm I am sure
