AT LAST—a ghazal


[Exhortation to remember that we will pay for our sins at last but god can save us]



There will come a day at last.
For sins we will pay at last.

God above us does see all,
Him we should obey at last.

Having led an evil life,
We should to Him pray at last.

Devil may lead us astray,
But Lord will him slay at last.

Let’s always remember this,
He will show the ray at last.

Why be proud, this body your
Will mingle with clay at last.

Khalish all woes will be gone
When you are buried at last.
