Introducing Community Recognition & New WritingML
Greetings Members!

We're pleased to introduce Community Recognitions and a new WritingML tag!

:: NEW: Introducing Community Recognition! ::
Community Recognitions are an overall summary of a member's presence
within the Writing.Com community. A member's Community Recognition is
displayed as a linked number following their handle. For example:
         The StoryMistress Author Icon

Recognitions are calculated by adding together the numbers of referred
members, qualified merit badges and Bonus Recognitions. Bonus Recognitions
are awarded to members by Writing.Com for various reasons, such as length
of membership, promotions, sitewide activities and more.

Clicking on the number launches a window which contains the details of that
member's Community Recognition. In addition, a visual summary of all Merit
Badges that have been received is also provided.

For a complete listing of members ranked by Community Recognition, visit:
         http://www.Writing.Com/main/authors/action/cnum
This is also available from the "Authors" page, which is located in the
header navigation of Writing.Com.

:: The New RUser WritingML Tag ::
We're also introducing a new WritingML 'user' tag which will display only
a member's handle, Community Number and Portfolio icon. This new tag
is Ruser and works as follows:
         {ruser:storymistress}
Will produce:
         The StoryMistress Author Icon

:: Reminder: 46 New Merit Badges! ::
Merit Badges are the perfect way to recognize another Writing.Com member
for effort and excellence! Whether given out for a member's writing, reviewing,
interactions or personality, a Merit Badge will be a lasting reminder of your
sincere appreciation. (More: "Merit Badge InfoOpen in new Window.)

Visit our Merit Badge Shop to browse the selection and give a Merit Badge to
someone you know! The shop can also be accessed from your Gift Point Tools
pulldown menu as Shop: Merit Badges or directly at:

support "RAOK Upgrade Brigade GroupOpen in new Window., one of the most actively giving
groups within Writing.Com. When you buy Gift Points, a donation to RAOK
will be made in your name! For donation break down, please see:

Writing.Com community.

:: Reminder: Burn My Letter - Volume 3 ::
On the road to publication, rejection happens. Many excellent writers will
never be published because they fear those inevitable rejection letters. That fear
prevents them from even trying to have their work published and, therefore, their
talents go unnoticed. This is your third chance to change that with:
