New Look, New Favorites, New Costumicons!

Greetings Members!

Our new look, new 'My Favorites' and new costumicons are all explained in
this email!


:: The New 'Look' ::
Exciting changes took place this weekend with the revealing of Writing.Com's
new header layout. The new look replaces the small item icons with easily
understandable text links.

Providing more direct information in the header helps both newbie and longtime
members by pointing everyone in the right direction. Our 'Power Search' has
been condensed is now provided to all of Writing.Com's members and visitors.
Six 'My' buttons finish off the bottom of the header by providing quick access
to your most important tools and functions.


:: Presenting the New My Favorites ::
The old My Favorites and My Authors utilities have been replaced! We've
taken our popular Premium Membership tool, Favorites+ and made it the
Writing.Com standard for all membership levels, including Free Members!

The new My Favorites combines both favorite Items and Authors into one
easy-to-use folder based system. You can create, move and delete favorite
folders, plus move favorite items and authors into any folder. Move your
folders up or down within the page to put them in your preferred orders.

My Favorites also has its own 'Power Search' utility built in. Search within
your favorites for any text, item type or genre. Leave the text box blank and
you can use the Types and Genres pull downs to search for favorite items just
within those selections.

Upgraded Members and above can set their 'My Favorites' to pop into it's own
window. This makes the tool fast, slim and very convenient! For more details

:: Costumicons: New Categories and New Icons! ::
Our two new categories are Music & Audio and Sports & Activities while the
Games & Sports category has been renamed to Puzzles & Games. In this
new batch of costumicons, you'll find a boombox, clock, 5 different shield crests,
a rubix cube and much more!

Remember, full time use of costumicons is available to those with Premium
