On the road to publication, rejection happens. Many excellent writers will never
be published because they fear those inevitable rejection letters. That fear prevents
them from even trying to have their work published and, therefore, their talents go
unnoticed. This is your third chance to change that with:
         "Burn My Letter - Volume 5" 

Rather than focusing on the negative aspects of being rejected, we want to again
focus on the positive aspects of those rejection letters! The mere fact that an
Author received a rejection shows he or she actually made an attempt to be noticed.

One random winner will choose either 1,500,000 Gift Points or a One Year

:: The 'Blogs' Link ::
Members and visitors will now find a Blogs link in the header text navigation.
The new Blogs page lists the public blogs of members, with the most recently
modified blogs first.


:: The Blog Comment System ::
Our new Blog Comment system allows readers of blogs to post public comments
in response to blog entries. A Leave a Comment link is placed below each blog
entry. Clicking the link launches a separate window which contains the entry and
other comments for that entry. Comments may not be left anonymously and may
be left by any member, of any level or membership type.

Blog owners are immediately emailed when a new comment has been left in their
blog. The owner can publicly respond to comments left for him/her and can delete
any comment for any entry within their blog.


:: Automatic Blog Reminders ::
The Blog system now offers automatic emails reminding you to update your blog.
A quick form to submit a blog entry is included right within the email reminder.

By default, the system will email bloggers if they have not updated their blog in the
past day. You can adjust it from 1 day to 7 days, or no reminders at all.

:: Reminder: New .GIF Image Support! ::
Writing.Com members with Upgraded Membership or higher can now upload .GIF
format images to their portfolios! This is due to a newly expired patent on the GIF
technology. With GIF support fully implemented within Writing.Com, GIF images
can safely utilize GIF's transparency feature.
