Where's the Silver Lining?

Warning signs?

I think I recognize in Robert's behavior a coming stroke. He is restless and constantly on the go, doing something, not resting. He couldn't remember what noodles are or understand when I tried to describe and explain.

Suddenly the pieces fell into place in my head: This behavior is what has happened each time before one of his stokes.

I tried to get him under the oxygen, but he won't go, keeps saying he has too much to do, don't bother him. Irrational, cranky, confused - uh-oh.

If he does go into a stroke, I will call 911, and he goes to the hospital. I'll call hospice after I call for help. He is under hospice care for his heart, not his Parkinson's or for strokes.

Maybe I have found a way to predict and prepare for his frightening strokes. I hope and pray God has given me the abiltiy to do so.
