This is the craaaaziest journal you'll ever read!! Put the kids to bed! |
I looked at the date on my last entry and can't believe how much time has flown by since then. I don't feel like it's been so long since I last wrote. Here goes... I had a GREAT summer! I worked a lot at the grocery store in my hometown. (40-50 hrs/week) I also got to counsel at Blue Water youth camps just like every summer, except this summer was different--better. Some of my friends from Graceland came to MI to counsel for a week with me. 4 people came, and 2 of them ended up staying for the rest of the summer and working for the church in Detroit! It was AMAZING! John Corn (one of my best friends) and Jordan Long (Linda's bf) stayed for the summer. So I got to hang out with them and Linda. Also, this guy Allen from GU randomly came to the camp. Linda informed me during the week that she could tell he was interested in me. I kind of gave him the cold shoulder, being that I still strongly believe boys have coodies! Anyway, we're back at GU now and have been "seeing each other" (or making out) for almost 4 weeks now. Shhh...not many people know yet, including John who will pry be a little jealous/confused/upset and Tyler, whose world will probably come to a halt when he finds out I can't give him 100% of my attention anymore. (I think he's already figuring that out though) Well, things with Allen are a little confusing and kinda weird, but I really like this one, so I think I'll try and keep him around. School is going okay so far. I've never had so few credit hours, and at the same time have never had so much freakin' homework! I'm actually doing this instead of HW! I'm on Intramural Board at GU which takes up most of my free time during the week, and I'm the layout designer for the school paper which keeps me up late on Tues. night and keeps me up ALL NIGHT Wed. (I usually manage to get a couple hours of sleep after my Thurs. 8am class--suck) My schedule is hectic, but hopefully I can keep up with it and it'll get a little easier next semester. I'm living off-campus this year, which is a whole different experience than living off-campus with Mark at my community college. I live with 3 other girls. 2 of them are from Iowa, and 1 is from Texas. They're all great, but we all have busy schedules and don't usually get to see each other--so, the basic required roommate communication is made difficult. Anyway, this entry is getting lengthy; I think I'll chill for now. I know I say this often, but I really am going to try and write more. I miss just sitting here and typing about nothing for a few minutes--it's relaxing. Catch ya later gator! Love~KIM |
