Over and Under
I'm back!

That was for those of you who may have wondered where I've been recently. I had already been trying to limit the amount of time I spend online when I was unexpectantly booted off the net completely. I was in the middle of replying to an email when things started going screwy. I couldn't even get Windows to start up in safe mode. Then this computer died and refused to do nothing else but stay dead. Talk about frustrati

Crap! A great big, silver dollar size, spider ran out from behind the scanner and jumped onto my keyboard just now! The hairy, 8 legged, bastard scared the bejebbers outa me. I love animals...ALL animals...but spiders give me the willies for some reason. This one was really fast too. It's completely dark here now except for the light from the monitor. (That's how I like it) I didn't want to lose sight of it and wonder where around me it was lurking. The thing was fast and managed to elude me several times but fortunately he hadn't counted with my stubbornness and in the end I was able to outwit him. He was captured and safely released outdoors where he belongs. Stupid maniac, Thumb scarin', spider.

Where was I again? Oh yeah. I was whining about being booted offline. It seems kinda lame after my spider story. Let's just say life's been different without the computer. Thank goodness I wasn't bidding on any eBay items. veedoubleu took advantage of my forced absence and outbid me on Tired's auction item. Grrrrr! I did miss two Sprees too. It's such a helpless feeling not being able to communicate with my email friends. I asked the guy in the computer repair store if I could send one quick email (to veedoubleu warning her I wouldn't be able to help with the Spree). I didn't want to ask to use a computer from someone I know. (If they got a virus or their machine frigged up I wouldn't want them suspecting I may have had something to do with it) There used to be an internet cafe in town but it's now closed down. I ended up going to the library but could only quickly type another brief email to VW because other people were waiting to use the computer. Using other computers is like driving a different car...it seems so strange. Things are different. I like this computer.

We've also been to a couple of other provinces too. Got back last night. I LOVE going to new places and seeing new stuff. Went on a 75 minute ocean ferry ride in our travels and was lucky enough to see a whale breach 3 times...literally within a stone's throw from where Mitchell and I were standing. I'd say no more than 100 feet away at the most. I once saw a sea turtle in that same area. Also got to see another bald eagle fly almost directly overhead...not out at sea but near the mouth of a river where it was no doubt looking for fish. (They get most of their food by scavanging or stealing from smaller birds)

I can't get over how clear the photos look now on this computer! Everything is sooooooooo clear and crisp. What a difference. I'm seeing colours I've NEVER seen before on this monitor! Even the ads are striking. I've found myself clicking on people's pics here to finally get to see what they really look like.

I must scoot now. It's nice to be back.
