John glared at Lisa. He couldn't believe she'd brought her latest wealthy lover to the summer home he'd bought her for her birthday.

He swept across the sand, heading ashore.

The star-crowded sky reminded him how he missed vacationing at the house for summer. But his anger quickly absorbed his melancholy.

Shocked by the sight of him, his ex-wife bolted from her patio lounger. Attempting to flee, she tripped, and tumbled down the tall staircase leading to the beach.

John waited.

When Lisa's soul drifted above her body, he captured her and dragged her to their new summer home--the cove where she'd helped her ex-lover drown him last summer.
