A chronicle of my life starting from June 21,
2002. |
February 13, 2003 Wow, today has been a great day. First off, school was a half-day today. We have a lot this year because the school day was made longer. The half-days make up for it. So anyways, we had around 10 or so people pitch in so we could have a party at my friend's house with pizza and tons of soda-pop ("soda-pop" makes me interregional). Good times. We watched Back to the Future 1 and 2 and had a good time. Being Wednesday, I spent the second half of the day at church. Ah, we had fun practicing and everything. We ended up putting a big spin on one of the worship songs that really let me loosen up on the drums, and everyone was shouting and dancing. Worship tonight was about as Spirit-filled as it gets! It was awesome. In the end, we all prayed together for a long, long time after a couple of testimonies. I haven't had a Wednesday like that in too long! After we left, I asked my youth pastor if I could borrow his electric guitar and amp. He said I could have it until Tuesday. So I've been up for the past couple of hours jamming with the distortion cranked (it's now 1:36 am, and I started probably around 10:30 pm). My mom is finally making me go to bed. :( Oh well, it was fun, and I have the guitar til Tuesday. Ahhhh...The joys of hard rock...and cricks in the neck as a result of too much headbanging. Tomorrow perhaps I'll lighten up on the System of a Down and go with a little Bon Jovi. :P Recommended listening...There's so much...Howsabout You by a band supposedly called "Carb"? I seriously doubt you'll find the song...I can't myself. I've only heard it on a hard rock Internet radio station. Maybe I'll find it one day. But anyways, it's a good song, hope you enjoy it if such a miracle occurs that you stumble upon it. Goodnight, enjoi! ~ Dris ~ |
