Another Memory
I was thinking about all of the amusement parks we have in So. Calif, from Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Magic Mountain, Legoland, Sea World and I'm sure there are more that I don't remember.

There is a place called Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament. This is not an amusement park but it's a family entertainment, one that we went to shortly after Lou and I were married. We both had children when we were married, and this was an attempt to bring the families together. At the time we lived in Del Rosa, CA. a suburb of San Bernardino and we drove down to Buena Park were this Event was taking place. It's approximately 50 or 60 miles from our home. At time I had a Ford Club Wagon a large van with 4 captains chairs and a bench seat In the back. It worked just fine for a family of 6. In the beginning the older kids got to ride in the Captains Chairs, and those were Lou's kids, needles to say that caused some friction!

When we arrived everything went according to plan, we went in, and were seated and were served our meal. (please remember this is memory of an older person) so the time the food was served and the program began may be different than I'm remembering. I do remember it was a good meal, and my younger daughter received a scarf from one of the knights who had it attached to is joisting pole. The dinner and entertainment went off with out a hitch.

I was on our way home that my mind was blown. My wife will tell you I'm a little on the tight side with our funds. After spending a fair amount of money on this event, I was expecting to drive home and call it an evening.

Sometime before we reached San Bernardino the kids started hollering for a In N Out Burger, and they wanted to do it now. I believe I told my wife if I have to stop and get them burgers then I'll get out and walk home and you can take them through the drive thru. Of course I didn't, and of course we did stop and they all got the food they wanted. But believe me I had steam coming out of my ears!

I've learned over the years to loosen my purse strings and that children are never full even after having a big meal. It took awhile for all of us to come together but we are a family now and have been for years!

Remember
Life is Good and God is Great
