The House at Pooh Corner

The House at Pooh Corner is, of course, the A.A. Milne's sequal to Winnie-the-Pooh. It is more or less as good as the first one.

I thought that Eyore was a somewhat different this time around. He was always pessimistic, but in this book, he almost seemed condescending of his friends.

Still, probably the most memorable part of this book is the ending in which Christopher Robin goes away. Exactly why, is not made clear, but you get the feeling that he is growing up and leaving behind his stuffed animal friends. He has a last conversation with Pooh. Pooh responds. "How old will I be then?"

"99."

It's nice little note to end the story on.
