Well, dudes, what can I say? The weather report / apps were thankfully gravely wrong and we have sunny, pleasant weather instead of cold and rain. ![]() ![]() This is once more out of my popsicle-recipe-collection... and this time, as the title suggests bursting with fruit, namely blueberries + orange. And I must say ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You could consider this an "ingredient" of "Summer in the City" ![]() ![]() In the mentioned story, FMC Laura made the "adult" popsicles as her addition to her family's Fourth of July-feast – answering her father-in-law's question what to give to the kids that she's already made a batch of "fruit and chocolate" pops. So these are the "kids" popsicles in the story. ![]() Once more, they're easy + quick to make and only require 4 ingredients and some popsicle molds (instead of an ice cream maker). ![]() So, enough preamble, time to cool off! ![]() Serves: 6 popsicles Recipe.; 9 Me. ![]() Prep Time: 10 minutes PLUS: 5+ hours freezing time Degree of Difficulty: Easy WE NEED 200 gr / 7 oz. blueberries Wash fresh ones thoroughly to rid them of pesticides. I used 6 oz. leftover frozen wild blueberries from "5. (Blue)Berry Cream Cheese Rolls" ![]() 1 organic orange Also wash it (hot!) to remove pesticides 60 ml / 2 US fl.oz. maple syrup Real one... from CANADA. ![]() 250 gr / 1 cup buttermilk WE DO 1. Shower + dab dry the blueberries – or let them thaw up. Wash the orange, dab dry, finely zest it, and press out the juice. 2. Fill blueberries + orange juice into a measuring jug and finely puree them with the hand blender. Add orange zest, maple syrup + buttermilk and thoroughly mix. 3. Fill the mass into the popsicle molds and freeze for at least 5 hours. COOLEN HUNGER! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
