A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
A New Record for Yesterday? If I remember correctly, the last couple of Sundays, I wrote twenty-four paragraphs for the Scene Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Yesterday at work, I wrote twenty-seven paragraphs for this project. That’s not all I did during my six-hour shift at work yesterday. Not only did I finish the Part One Scene Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting project, but I also started the Part Two Scene Outline. I only had ten paragraphs I needed to write to end the Part One Scene Outline, and I knew I would finish it, but I wasn’t sure about Part Two. I figured that I was going to get the Part Two Scene Outline started yesterday at work, but I didn’t expect to get as far along the Teaser Act as I did. I figured I would get the four Establishing Shots for this Teaser Act, but I didn’t expect to get another thirteen paragraphs written. That’s not all I’m surprised about. I should have gotten three more paragraphs written for these Scene Outlines. After all, I got fifteen written in the first half of my six-hour shift at work. It was only logical that I would get another fifteen in the second half of this shift. Unfortunately, I didn’t get those last three paragraphs I needed to get my thirty for the day. The worst part is that I don’t know why I didn’t get those other three paragraphs written yesterday at work. After all, I averaged five paragraphs every hour during the first three hours of my shift. I should have also averaged five paragraphs every hour during the second half of my shift, but I didn’t. I averaged about four paragraphs every hour during the second half of my shift yesterday at work. Five and four are still great averages, but five and five are better. That’s enough of what I accomplished yesterday at work. Now comes the bad news about my DeathBringer scriptwriting project. I only got thirteen paragraphs written for the Part One Scene Outline today. Ten paragraphs ended Act Two, two Establishing Shots, and one numeric scene number. Why didn’t I get more written on my DeathBringer project? What is the usual reason I don’t get more written at home? That’s right, it’s because of what my brother and I needed to do. Today wasn’t as bad as most Mondays are for my brother and me, but it was still bad. My brother and I don’t usually have a lot that we need to get done on a Monday, and this was one of those Mondays, but what we did need to do took us most of the day to do. As a result, I only had about three hours to work on the Part One Scene Outline for my DeathBringer project. I’m not sure what’s in store for me for the next three days. I don’t know what my brother and I will need to do over the next three days, but I’m sure we will need to do at least a few things. Hopefully, these things won’t take us all day to do and I will have some time to work on this project. Hopefully, I will have a whole lot of time to work on this project, but I won’t count on that happening until it does. After all, I have hoped this before, and one thing or another has happened, and I didn’t get as much writing done as I wanted to get done that day. |
