roses, daises, tulips
asleep as frost still nips
dormant through the winter's chill
when spring comes we'll get our fill

cut flowers are perfect gifts
to lovers, to friends, to mothers
from husbands to wives to brothers

roses, daises, tulips
plants that grow like whips
gardeners favorite passage of time
now it's time to end this rhyme
