Garden Of Love

Garden Of Love

Joe went out to his garden
On a bright sunny day
Tending to his red roses.

Yellow daises and yellow tulips
Contemplating nature
On a fine summer day.

Thinking about his life
And his late wife
Who loved his garden.

He looked over
Sadly at her grave
Where she lay buried.

Beneath the flowers
That she loved so much
Saying he would see her soon.

Thinking of her
He fell asleep amid the flowers
His son found him that night.

The next day they held a proper funeral
For him burying him next to his eternal soul mate.
On his hundredth birthday.
