Deuteronomy Chapter 1

1. These are the words that Moses spoke the Israelites in desert east of the River Jordan that is in Arabah region opposite Saph between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hezeroth,, Dizahab

in the fortieth year on the first day of the eleventh month Moses proclaimed to the israelites everything that the lord had told him about them. this happened after he had defeated Sihon king of the Amorites who ruled in Heshbon and at Edrei had defeated Og king of Bashan who ruled in Ashtaroth east of the River Jordan in the territory of Moab. Moses began to put forth his law saying,

"the Lord our God said at Horeb you have stat at this mountain long enough break camp and head into territory of the Amorites go to all the people whose territory borders the Arabah in the mountains in the foot hills to the west in the negev and on the coast. to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon as far as the Euphrates see i have given you this territory go in and take control of the land that i promised to give to your forefathers to abraham Isaac and Jacob and to their descendants
