A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
About Seven and a Half Hours It takes me about fifteen minutes to set things up at work before I can start writing and fifteen minutes at the end of my shift to get ready to be relieved of my shift. That’s if my relief gets there by seven AM WDC time. They haven’t been doing that lately and are still working for this company. If it were me, I would have been fired by now, especially last weekend when they never called in, couldn’t be reached, and never showed up for work. They brought someone else in on Saturday and Sunday morning; he still works for the same company. I wouldn’t have been if I had done the same thing. Today, they were about forty minutes late, and who gets the blame for it? It’s me, not him. This company is already starting to act like my old company. Only now am I limited in how much I can work because I’ve been returned? I don’t know if I will get the extra work time. If I do, I will need to dispute it, and I don’t want to do that. Because of the new year, I could work an extra hour or two each week and still get my retirement paycheck. But I don’t want to do that because they will think I can do it whenever they need someone to fill in for them, as I have done the last couple of weeks. Last week was okay because I was still in 2024, but this week, I’m not. That’s enough of my ranting and raving about my work situation. Now it’s time for some good news. I averaged about four paragraphs last night at work and overnight this morning. I got thirty paragraphs written during this time, which averages four paragraphs every hour. After all, I only had time to write for about seven and a half hours. I was wrong about how many paragraphs I needed to write for each of my Parts or Episodes in my Story Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting projects. It should have been nine instead of each. This means that instead of two hundred and eighty-eight, I will be writing three hundred and twenty-four before I’m done writing these Story Outlines. Hopefully, I can continue writing four paragraphs every hour for the next couple of days. If I can, I will have about forty-eight paragraphs written later today, overnight tomorrow morning, and around twenty-four paragraphs tomorrow evening. However, I may be unable to do that because of the weather. It’s supposed to be terrible for the next two days. I may have problems getting to and from work, especially if my relief is late or doesn’t show up for work again. That’s an excellent opportunity because of my relief. They can do whatever they want and get away with it. I wish I could have that luxury. |
