Baby Dragon, Baby Dinosaur
My neighbor Jerome was a retired Archeologist. He had been gone six years. He had been in Egypt and South America digging up bones. The song Digging Up Bones comes to mind. I laughed. Jerome was home. He had been home two weeks. He said he was done now. He had good memories and the musems benefited from the Archeologist findings. He had boxes of things he bought home that he was allowed to keep. I decided to clean house and not spy on Jerome. I stay up until midnight. I saw him with two brightly colored, giant eggs that he put in his car and he was driving away at 10:30PM. Was I seeing things? I was just tired. Maybe Jerome had to drop off giant eggs somewhere. Giant eggs? A cornfield separates us but I know I saw giant eggs even though it was dark because our pole lights had 3D lighting.

I went to the Kitchen Store and drove them the road with all the nice trees. The autumn leaves were beautiful in autumn. It was sunny today. I turned down my favorite road. It was somewhat hilly. The woods seemed to go on forever. I turned into the woods and hoped I didn't get lost. Maybe I should turn back. I was curious. I was deep in the woods now. I saw them! A blue baby dragon. He had wings, big green eyes and scales all over his body. I saw a baby dinosaur. He was all green and he was a Bronoscharus. Four legs and a big belly. His skin looked rough and smooth. He had big, blue eyes and he was eating flowers and plants. I sat down in the grass and looked at them. This was Jerome's secret. A truck was headed our way. I was scared for the baby dragon and dinosaur.

It was a blue truck. It was Jerome. I was so relieved.

Jerome got out of the truck.

" I see you found my eggs that hatched."

"I can't believe they are real. They are so cute. Who else knows?"

"Just myself, my professor friend Ben and you. I found the eggs in South America. Ben has a private jet and I was able to fly home with the eggs. I decided to let them hatch in these woods. Everyone is afraid of these deep woods. This place is perfect for them."

"What happens when the baby dragon starts flying and the dinosaur grows and walks everywhere?"

" I found an invisible potion in Egypt and I put the potion on the babies. Only those who truly believe can see them. The potion will protect them from harm. There is an invisible shield and the baby dinosaur will grow and he can only go so far. He will stay in the woods. The baby dragon can fly anywhere but no one can see him but he won't fly past five miles. I did my research and the potion will protect them."

"I am happy you shared this with me."

Just then the baby dragon and baby dinosaur came running up to me. I hugged them. They were so adorable.

"Jerome. Why did you choose me to tell this to?"

"I know you love animals. I knew you wouldn't tell anyone. I trust you not to tell anyone. You will check on them and be their friend. Only those who believe and won't harm them can see them."

"Thank you." I hugged the babies again.

The babies did grow. Some people said they heard a jet plane in the sky and saw smoke. Some people said the woods near by shook. A lot of the flowers and plants were eaten. No one saw them.

The police and others tried to investigate the woods and sounds in the sky but could't find anything. My husband asked me if I knew anything. He said I believed in strange things. I just laughed.

I watched the babies grow and they were my friends. Jerome and I had a secret. Too bad we couldn't share the secret. They grew into beautiful animals.

Dragons dressed up for Halloween. Aren't they cute?
