Time To Go

Time To Go

I resisted the settling in.

I tried to remain in boxes, keep
life in storage for a future date,
but routine will wear you down
familiarity makes a place your own, and now -

when I finally call this home
when it is finely tuned to my soul
when I have determined to live here
until life has fled and my body is cold -

you tell me that I need to go.
