Spend at least fifteen minutes clarifying things through "What If" brainstorming, mind mapping (see resources at the bottom of the calendar), freestyle writing, lists, drawings or research as follows:
World Building: For fantasy, science fiction, or other speculative fiction, develop the history, economy, geology, ecology, and/or maps for your world. You might find this activity helpful: "World Weavers' Workshop" [13+]
Research: For reality-based fiction, research aspects of your novel that will lend credibility to your writing.

You may also choose to use this time to finish a previous assignment that needs more time.

What if the quest is done by completing a scavenger hunt to find and assemble 6 or different relics into one in order to break the family curse?

What if the relic is a locket that needs to be assembled and worn by Jon? It connects to the talisman already in his possession.

What if in the end of the story, the use of magic is banned, and everyone must worship the God of Jacob?

What if there is the chain, front, back, and a piece of 2 pictures to be found to put the locket back together?

What if Jacob must cross a river, brave a dangerous forest, and climb a mountain to find some of the pieces?

What if Jacob has to face a fierce monster, a dragon, and a den of snakes?

What if he has to face his biggest fears in order to put the locket together?

What if after he puts the locket together, he has to bring it to the prophet he spoke to in the beginning to figure out how to break the curse?

What if he discovers, he has had the power to break the curse within himself all along?

What if Harold dies in the final battle?

What if Jacob falls in love along his journey to find all of the parts of the locket?

What if I end the story with him recovering his place on the throne, marrying his love, and expecting a new baby?
