Section Three, Part Four

With only about four hours to work on my second Short Story for this month, I thought I would be lucky if I got Section Three written today. And it wasn’t just because of how many hours I had to work on it today. It was also because of my lack of sleep last night.

This happens to me a lot when I get up early the next morning. I should be getting about seven or eight hours of sleep the night before. But instead, I get about five or six hours if I’m lucky. Last night it was one of those nights. I only got about five hours of sleep, I hope.

I don’t know why I didn’t get more sleep last night. The only thing I can think of was that I went to sleep a couple of hours later than I usually do when I’m not getting up early the next day. My mind needed those extra two hours to get me to go to sleep. What else could it be?

My lack of sleep wasn’t the only reason I barely got two more Parts written for the second Short Story I’m writing this month. My brother and I went back to our old place this morning. And it took us a lot longer for us to get back home than it usually does for us.

Normally, we get home between two and three PM WDC time. But today it was closer to five PM WDC time. Why did it take us so long to get back home? It was mostly because of a Construction Zone we went through coming home. It took us almost thirty minutes to get back home.

As soon as I got home, I started working on this Short Story. At first, I wasn’t sure how I would start writing Section Three. But then I remembered how I wrote it in my head last night. Once I got started writing it, I couldn’t stop until I finished this Part.

Section Four wasn’t that much harder to write. After all, I had Part Three to go on. It wasn’t a continuation of Section Three. But there wasn’t that much of a time gap between the two Parts. This Section went even faster than Part Four. Not that much faster though.

Unfortunately, it didn’t go fast enough for me to do a third Section today. But that’s okay, though. After all, I got two Parts written today, and that was my goal. Of course, I wanted to get another Section written today. Maybe tomorrow I will get another Part written.

As far as I know my brother and I don’t have too much we need to do over the next couple of days. I’m sure we will have a few things we need to do. But hopefully, it won’t take us all day to do them. If that’s true, I should get at least two more Sections written tomorrow.

With six more Parts to write before I finish writing this second Short Story, I would like to get three more Sections left per day. If I can get three more Parts per day, I can finish this Short Story by the end of the weekend. I won’t count on that happening until it does, though.
