Two Today Aren't Bad
Two Today Aren’t Bad

The two sections I got written today for the second Short Story I’m writing for this month aren’t too bad. At least I don’t think it is since I only had about five hours today to work on this Short Story. That’s about two and a half hours per part. Maybe a little bit more than that for the first section and a little less for the second part.

I don’t know why it took me about three hours to finish the first section of this Short Story. Maybe it was because it was the beginning of the story. And I often have problems getting my short stories started. I know what I want to write. But not how to write it.

The second part of this Short Story went a lot smoother. I still had some problems with it. But not as many as I did with the first section. The main problem I think I had with the second part was with the first section. I’m trying to write this Short Story from a Narrative POV. And I’m having some problems doing that.

I’m used to writing first-person singular because that’s what I write my scriptwriting with. But I usually don’t do that with my short stories. I still prefer to write them first-person singular. But I normally write them from the POV of one or more of the main characters in that story.

Why do I say that two parts are good writing for me? It’s because it means that I only have eight more sections to write before I’m finished writing this Short Story. If I can continue writing two parts per day, I will get this Short Story written in four more days. That will make it next Monday when I get it finished.

Next Wednesday is the sixteenth. It’s also the middle of the month, the hump day since there are thirty-one days this month. It also means that if I can get my second Short Story finished by next Monday or Tuesday, I will have the second half of this month to return to my scriptwriting.

Unfortunately, tomorrow I may not get my two sections written. I still should get them written. But I can’t guarantee I can do it. Of course, I can never guarantee I get a specific number of parts written for a Short Story. It’s like my paragraphs and single sentences for my scriptwriting project, I can’t guarantee anything.

Why can’t I guarantee anything tomorrow? It’s because my brother and I are returning to our old place tomorrow again. We are supposed to be back between two and four PM WDC time. If that’s true, I should have time to write these two sections tomorrow too.
