Only Section One Today

Today hasn’t been a normal Wednesday. My brother and I have been busy most of the day doing things we needed to get done today. As a result, I haven’t had too much time to work on the WDC Short Story for this month. I only had a few hours to work on it. Those few hours went to good use though. But it could have been better.

I had one more paragraph of what I call pre-planning left to write. After all, these paragraphs help me to write my short stories. They aren’t physically part of them. At least not directly. Sometimes they are part of them. But at the same time, they aren’t physically part of them, just some words or phrases are part of them.

After I finished that last pre-planning paragraph, I had the ten single-sentence parts to write for this WDC Short Story. Once I got that finished, I started writing this Short Story. Unfortunately, I only had about an hour to write anything. So, I only got the first section written today. That only leaves me with nine more parts left to write.

As far as I know, this is the only Short Story I will be writing this month. I haven’t been on WDC today yet. So, I don’t know if I have another one to do this month. Supposedly, there is a prompt coming for this contest. But it hasn’t shown up as of late yesterday evening. It could be there by now. But I doubt it. It will be another day or two if I’m lucky.

Whether it’s there after I post this blog entry, I will continue working on this WDC Short Story. My WDC short stories come first. After I finish writing them, then I will write any other short stories I want to write for that month. The sooner I know about any other short stories, the better. Especially, if they are Science Fiction.

If it’s a Science Fiction Short Story I will try to write for any month, I want to know as soon as possible so I can remember a Short Story that fills that prompt. Sometimes that’s easy to do and sometimes it isn’t. That’s one reason why I need to know what the prompt is as soon as possible. It doesn’t mean I will start working on it right away.

I might start working on the pre-planning part of it before I start writing it physically. But I will only do that if I only have an hour to an hour and a half left in the day to do any writing. After all, my WDC Short Story takes priority. When I finish writing my WDC Short Story, I will start on this one if I ever get a prompt for it.

Hopefully, it will only take me a few days for each one of my short stories. The sooner I finish writing them, the sooner I can return to my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Besides, the sooner I get them written the sooner I can Shameless Plug and Please Review them if I have enough time to do it and decide to do it.
