A place to come and remember Bible lesson. They comfort, sustain, and encourage me. |
Treating others as I would like to be treated belongs in this entry. It is beyond that. My patience gets thinner as I grow older. Common sense is absent everywhere I look. Simple things like courtesy, etiquette, and manners are not a part of many people's repertoire. It bothers me, frustrates me. I found some scripture that should help but frankly, once again, it is me being the bigger person. I feel like I should be ashamed for my lack of patience. I will need to work on this one. Ephesians 4:2: "With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love" 1 Peter 3:15-16: "I will share God's truth with others in gentleness and respect" 1 Peter 4:8: "Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins" Matthew 22:39: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself" 1 Thessalonians 5:15: "See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people" Titus 3:2: "Be reasonable, displaying all mildness toward all men" Matthew 7:12: "All things, therefore, that you want men to do to you, you also must do to them" Colossians 3:13: "Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another" |
