Making Up for Yesterday
Making Up for Yesterday

Yesterday, I barely got ten single paragraphs written for Episode Two, Not Hiding in Darkness, for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Today, I made up for those ten by writing twenty paragraphs for this Story Outline. That means I’m back to my fifteen-a-day average again.

Maybe it’s because fifteen of these single paragraphs are from Act Four and the Tag Act. These Acts almost end this episode. And they usually write faster than the first four Acts do. The first five of these paragraphs came from Act Three. They were a little harder for me to write. So, maybe it was because of Act Four and the Tag Act after all.

I don’t know how this happened. After all, my brother and I returned to our old place this morning. We also got a late start in getting there. It was almost eleven AM our time before we got there. Eleven is usually about the time we start heading back to our new place.

Today, we were about an hour behind our usual departure from our old place. We didn’t leave there until about noon our time. As a result, we didn’t get back to our new place until almost two PM our time. That wasn’t the end of it for today with us. We went out again about an hour later. Luckily, we weren’t out that long.

For that hour in between us getting to our new place and leaving again, I started writing these single paragraphs. Unfortunately, I only got two of them done. It was the last line of each of these paragraphs. I didn’t know how to end them. As a result, I only got two written in that hour.

I didn’t know we had something else we needed to do today. luckily, it only took us about a half hour to accomplish it. So, I still had about five hours to get as many single paragraphs as possible written today. The last three of Act Three took me a little over an hour to finish writing for the same reason as the first two paragraphs.

With less than four hours to work on this project, I thought I would be lucky if I got another ten single paragraphs written today. But once I started writing Act Four and the Tag Act it went a lot faster. Once I started writing, I couldn’t stop myself from doing it.

Not only did I get ten more single paragraphs written to get my fifteen paragraphs for today, but I got five more paragraphs written. That means I only have three more paragraphs before I end this Story Outline. After I finish writing it, I will start working on Episode Three, Floating Weapons. Hopefully, I will get another twelve from it.

Of course, I’m hoping I will get another seventeen single paragraphs from Episode Three. Which will almost equal two Acts. But I won’t count on that happening until it does because of yesterday. I will be happy if I can get another fifteen paragraphs written tomorrow too.
