The simplicity of my day to day.

Prompt:
Think about a place inside or outside of your home where you feel most at peace or happy at this time in your life. What makes it special to you?

My home to me feels likes an old slipper, comfortable and warm.
I feel at peace in my kitchen, preparing a meal and listening to the ABC talk back radio. There are no adverts on that station, no one enticing me to buy something, just mostly common sense programming.
I enjoy sitting in my chair listening to someone with a good voice reading a story. I find I listen to books now rather than reading a book. The narrator’s voice though is very important. I like a mellow voice, and I prefer a male one.
I don’t watch a lot of television these days. The news destroys the calm and peace of my home and I prefer not to hear it, especially the political rants we seem to have to tolerate.

I’m also at peace walking in the Australian bush with my dog. Now she’s too old to chase Kangaroos and stays close by it’s even more relaxing.

I’m happy when I’m writing too, if a story is progressing well, not so much when each word is a struggle to produce.
