In Which You Tell Umeko Everything
Previously: "Third ThoughtsOpen in new Window.

(Written by imaj)

Sitting in the church, fidgeting anxiously in your Sunday best, your find it increasingly hard to concentrate on Umeko's performance. Uemeko really does have a beautiful singing voice, but the thing is, the thing is'

If the book is right, you could sing like that too.

Wearing Umeko's face really was fun. You certainly enjoyed yourself exploring your cousin's body yesterday, but after a couple of hours of pleasuring yourself you had to set the mask aside. After all, it would have been hard to explain to your parents why their niece was naked in their son's bedroom.

Naturally your attention had returned back to the book itself and the newly revealed spell. Your Latin is pretty shody, but a few hours careful work on the Internet and you had a translation: The Mind.

So much as wearing Umeko's face was great, the idea of knowing her memories and feelings seems so much better. It might be possible to trick her, to fool her into placing the band on her forehead.

You snap out of your reverie and find yourself standing and applauding. Umeko's performance has just finished and she has earned a standing ovation. Smiling broadly, she gazes in the direction of you and the rest of your family.

You'll tell her everything this afternoon, you decide.

*****

You look over the spell translation one last time. You've been sitting here for about half an hour, working out in your head what you'll say to Umeko. Tricky, very tricky. You suspect just saying 'Hi, I changed into you and had a marathon masturbation session yesterday' doesn't quite convey the image you want.

There's a knock at the door and you hear a soft voice on the other side enquire 'Will?'

Fuck.

'um' er'. Hi,' your voice comes out high pitched and strangulated.

'Uncle Harris and Aunt Martha were wondering where you had gotten to,' says Umeko as she peers round the door.

She's still wearing the dress she wore for the performance. It's demure and very flattering.

'Hi Umeko,' you say, repeating yourself. 'Come on in. I was just.. I was just thinking there was something I wanted to show you.'

Umeko closes the door behind her and perches on the edge of your bed. You hand her the mask.

'Oh,' she begins. 'It's that mask you showed me yesterday. I don't know what game over me then. I just kinda blacked out.'

'Look at it,' you say. 'Look at it closely.'

'Ah, it's reflecting me, but'' she stops for a second 'The angle is kinda weird. That can't be right, I mean it's distorted and showing the wrong side of my face.'

'Um' yes'' you stutter, somewhat alarmed at your cousin's observation. You take the mask back off her. 'It started after you put it on and fainted. And when I say it started, I mean it sort of shows your reflection even when I'm looking at it.'

Umeko looks at you one perfect eyebrow raised.

'Oh Fuck,' you say under your breadth. 'I-didn't-get-it-at-the-mall-I-made-it'

The words tumble out in a rush. Umeko stares at you, puzzled.

'I found this book,' you begin, taking a deep breath and speaking more slowly. 'It told me how to make the mask. I think its some kind of magic.'

'Is this a joke,' says Umeko sceptically. 'Because it's not funny at all.'

'Please, just let me show you,' you say.

Trembling, you lift the mask to your face. The room swims for a second and the next thing you realise Umeko is helping you to your feet again.

'Your' You'' she begins. It's so strange to see her at a loss for words.

'I know,' you reply in your Umeko-voice, the tone not quite a match for her own.

You stare sheepishly at your Umeko-feet.

'The mask stores the image of whoever puts it on. I never meant for you to put it on' You half lie. 'Once you did' It takes so long to make a new mask' There was another spell in the book to turn it into a disguise and well' Here I am' Er' Here you are''

Umeko stares at you, her mouth open.
