Heavenfire

I desire heavenfire -
why should hell
have all the heat?

I want winged devils
doing all the work
of watching over
every saint and sin

while angels bask
in front of flames
with horns of gold
and pitchforked s'mores.

I desire thunderbolts -
why should gods
get all the fun?

I want to press UP
to be taken down
where carpet clouds
cocoon cloven feet

while demons pray
in vain each night
with singed ash hopes
and broke-ass halos.
