at the end
I thought I loved and that he loved me,
that we'd be together—a family.
I thought I could trust him. When he was untrue,
I thought that forgiving was what I must do.
I thought I was wise, made that devil my mate.
Now, I know I was stupid, but I learned it so late.

April 1—Be a fool in a poem!
