The Web - Week 23
Tuning one silken strand at a time
the spider strings his garden harp
with expertly woven notes creates
complex symphonic structure

He sits and waits and listens
to the music the wind plays
He is patient but he’s hungry
the fly tentatively touches down

the delicate trap is sprung
the spider hears the echoes
his web vibrates with struggle
the melodies of his prey

*Scientists are exploring the musical principles in the construction of spider webs
