The Cold War Made Everyone MAD - Week 15

The Cold War made everyone MAD

All schools included instruction,
on Mutually Assured Destruction.
In every Congress or Parliament,
they preached Nuclear Disarmament.
Each encouraging the other nations
to practice non-proliferation.
Demanding peace, yet meanwhile
replenishing their own stockpiles.
It took an artist’s pen so nimble,
to solve the problem with a symbol.
The cause of war abatement,
turned into a fashion statement.
