After years of hearing about The Rocky Horror Picture Show, I finally decided that I was going to sit down and watch it to see what all the fuss was about. I have to admit I thought it was a complete and utter load of drivel. Having said that, if you rewatch it with your expectations reset accordingly, it can be entertaining.

Tim Curry was immense here. With this part, any signs of self-consciousness would have rendered it excruciating. But he jumps right in and lets us have it with both barrels. And all the while Susan Sarandon is making a spirited attempt at the world fainting record.
