24 Star Crossed Lovers

Star Crossed Lovers

A man while looking at the stars
glanced at his wife
And thought back upon
How they met.

Was it all foreordained
Was their fate
Determined by the stars?

For it was
a fairy tale romance
He dreamt of meeting her.

Then eight years later
She walked into his life
And became his wife.

He stared at the stars,
Wondering if on another planet
Were there people starting back
At him?

And were there
star cross lovers
On the other
planets as well?

And whether their love
Was indeed determined
By far-off stars?

He had no answer
Smiled at his wife
And went indoors.

And put aside
these cosmic thoughts,
It was enough for the night.

Had a glass of wine,
Looked at her,
And fell in love again.
