It's almost a New Record Tie
It's almost a New Record Tie

At least I think that what I wrote earlier today at work is almost a single paragraph tied for the most number of single paragraphs that I did on a weekday. If I remember correctly, my best single paragraph total was thirty-six. Unfortunately, I didn’t break that record high. But I came very close to tying it.

Earlier today at work, I got thirty-five single paragraphs and twelve scenes written on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. that averages about seven single paragraphs per hour and a little over two scenes an hour. After all, I had about five hours of writing time during a weekday that I could devote to my writing.

Of course, during those five hours, I spend a little bit of time watching cameras and work on my electronic paperwork. Combined that only takes about ten minutes to do. That means I only have about fifty minutes of writing each hour on a weekday or around seven minutes per single paragraph.

As usual, those seven single paragraphs don’t count in the first hour at work. That’s because I only get about four to six single paragraphs in that hour. Most of the time it’s four or five single paragraphs. but sometimes it’s six. Unfortunately, today it was four.

Don’t know how I do it, but I usually make up those missing single paragraphs from the first hour I’m at work in the second hour. I didn’t quite do that today at work. But I did come very close to doing it. Instead of fourteen single paragraphs, I got thirteen. That’s okay. Thirteen is better than ten, eleven, or twelve.

That fourteenth single paragraph I can sometimes get after I finish my first round at work. It can take me about forty to fifty minutes to do my first round. Sometimes it’s thirty-five or fifty-five minutes. But it’s usually either forty or forty-five minutes. Luckily, it’s not fifty minutes too often, it has happened a few times.

After finishing my first round, I watched my cameras for that hour. If I can get done between forty and forty-five minutes that third hour at work, I should have time to write my fourteenth single paragraph. If it’s fifty to fifty-five minutes I won’t get it written.

All that I have written in single paragraphs is true about the number of scenes that I get written on a weekday. Except if I remember correctly, I think twelve scenes on a weekday is a tie. Most of my scene totals are usually ten or eleven. But I have had one or two twelves too I think.
