It happened a few days ago. I believe the new WDC Short Shot Short Story prompt came out on Saturday. And it didn’t take me too long before I remembered a SpaceHorrors: Short Story that went along with this image. Unfortunately, that’s about all that I have done with it so far.

In my head, I already have this Short Story written. Now all I need to do is physically write it. Unfortunately, today has been a typical first day off from work aka a Monday. What does that mean for this Short Story. It means that I haven’t been able to do too much with it.

I have a title for this Short Story. And in Title Description. But that’s all I have written so far on this Short Story. I haven’t written the paragraphs describing this Short Story yet. Why haven’t I gotten any writing done on this Short Story yet? What is the usual reason?

Unfortunately, that’s right. It’s because of what my brother and I had to do today. It wasn’t a lot that we needed to get done today. But what needed to be done did take us most of today to do it. As a result, I haven’t had the time to work on this Short Story today.

As far as I know, my brother and I don’t need to do anything that needs to be done tomorrow. At least I don’t think that we do. And I do mean ‘we.’ My brother has something that he needs to do tomorrow. But I’m not a part of what he’s doing, though.

So far, this is the only Short Story that I’m going to be doing this month. There is one other Short Story I could write. But I don’t know if I want to do it. After all, it’s a Christmas based prompt. I could still do it. But it probably wouldn’t be a SpaceHorrors Short Story.

I still could do it as a SpaceHorrors Short Story. After all, we aren’t the only planet that celebrates Christmas. Of course, it’s not called Christmas. But I have remembered several SpaceHorrors short stories I could write for this contest. Probably won’t because of the limitations.

I’m not writing about the Word Count Limitations. I can work around them. It’s how Judges and Reviewers feel about what they feel about Science Faction, I mean Science Fiction. Especially, when it pertains to a holiday like Christmas. And this Short Story would be like that holiday.

That’s another thing that Judges and Reviewers don’t like. They don’t mind if it’s an Earthenized holiday Science Faction, I mean Science Fiction Short Story. But I don’t write short stories like that. If they are Science Faction short stories they aren’t about Earth or its colonization.

There is one other Short Story I could be writing this month. but there hasn’t been a prompt for this Short Story contest in the last couple of months. There’s a very good possibility there won’t be one for this month. It could still happen, though. It’s also possible it won’t.
