That day off from "song muse story" (no, still no real title) did me wonders. The characters must have got together in my head and decided where things were headed, and that's where they've gone. Almost 5k words again today... and it would have been more, but some bad news curtailed my writing this afternoon. Just couldn't think clearly.

Cancer sucks.

Anyway, the MC let the man take her out, and she upset him, so he left her at the hotel 9with money), but she found herself also upset by that. Old feelings resurfacing? Anyway, why did she agree? Jealousy - he was paying attention to one of her co-workers.

Now they're about to go out again, but not on a date - they are going to see some bands play at the same venue where they broke up 20 years earlier, something the MC only remembered after agreeing to go. There's a mutual friend with them, and...

I reckon this is where the story will end. There might just be a HFN ending.

Let's see where they take me tomorrow.
